Today we’ll be checking out a new sample library by Vir2 called Phoenix: Rise, Hit & Whoosh Builder. As the name suggests, Phoenix is a tool designed to create cinematic build-ups, transitions, and dramatic moments. Apart from intelligent scripting that makes the library’s sounds adapt to your host tempo, Phoenix offers several other innovative features like multi-layer sample control and – very excited about this – custom audio file import.
Wavelet Audio – Trailer Box (Review)
Cinematic sample library developer Wavelet Audio just released a new product called Trailer Box: a trailer sound design toolkit designed for modern cinematic audio and video projects. The sounds presented in this toolkit are based around twisted organic sounds and noises as well as powerful guitar and bass recordings.
Heavyocity – Damage 2 (Review)
New York-based sample library developer Heavyocity just released Damage 2, the successor to probably one of the best-selling and most widely used cinematic percussion libraries on the market. Damage 2 comes with a huge collection of freshly recorded and processed percussion goodness and seeks to up the ante with massively brutal drum sound design.
8Dio – Eternal Darkness (Review)
With Eternal Darkness, the cinematic sampling experts at 8Dio recently released a new virtual instrument and addition to their Hybrid Tools line of products. Eternal Darkness is all about gritty horror sound design and dark, creepy textures.
